Kau's Story

Not too much is known about Kau's previous life prior to his life as Kau. Kau knows his true name is not Kau, but it was the name Kau was given by his master Mungoh, and he chooses to stick by the name. Kau's parents were murdered while out with Kau one night. Kau was only 12, and he'd been injured by the attacker in Kau's attempt to save his parents, resulting with a deep gash in his stomach. Amazingly, Kau survived the attack, but awoke knowing nothing of who he was, where he came from, or what had happened.

Kau spent many weeks orphaned and starving on the streets taking advantage of the school system's free meal programs to keep himself from starving. After a few weeks of fending for himself, Kau met a man who called himself Mungoh. Mungoh took Kau in, fed him, bathed him and gave him his name: Kau, meaning great dog, in japanese. But this was only the start.

After about two years went by, Mungoh started to become obsessed with trying to change Kau to become a perfect pet. Kau had developed an unconditional attachment to Mungoh by this time and could not pull himself away from Mungoh's rising aggression and abusive behavior. Kau tried several times to call the police for help, suspecting something bad was going to happen since Mungoh had started refusing to let Kau leave the house even to go to school. Each time Kau called 911, however, the operators would only laugh and hang up on him. Then it happened...

Mungoh had gotten the idea to create a masterpiece based off a character in an anime. Mungoh had the surgical skills needed to carry out his sadistic plan and went to work. Kau's eyes were surgically removed, his vocal chords were severed, the bones of his pelvis and hip joints were painfully broken and reset to allow much more agility when moving on all fours, his spine was broken and reset carefully so as to give Kau more dog-like range of motion, in other words, kau was permanently mutated into a human dog, which he remains to this day.
